ESR7 Filippo Faldella at ABB
During his three months secondment at ABB Turbo System, Filippo Faldella had the opportunity to work under the supervision of Mr. Jean-Francois Tissot, Head of Fuel Cell Activities. The project was carried out in close partnership with the performance and design teams of the Advanced Technology and Development department, led by Mr. Hervé Martin.
The focus of the secondment was to explore technologies improving unreacted fuel energy recovery of/in high-temperature fuel cell systems. In the initial stage of the project, an analytical comparison of different technological solutions and their respective trade-offs has been conducted. In the second part of the work, the most promising technologies have been investigated in close collaboration with the design and performance team. Particular attention was paid to the integration of such technologies in the system.
