ESR12 Martina Raggio at Accelleron (formerly ABB)
During the secondment at Accelleron, Martina Raggio has completed her activities at the facility located in Baden, Switzerland. Accelleron was until the 3rd of October 2022 a wholly owned subsidiary of ABB Switzerland.
The secondment was carried out under the supervision of Mr. Jean- Francois Tissot, Head of Fuel Cell Activities. The focus of the secondment was on the critical and detailed thermodynamic review of the possible architecture of a fuel cell hybrid system coupling Solid Oxide Fuel Cells with turbomachinery:
- In a first step, the layout and matching of the different parts was assessed with the objective of achieving the best system efficiency at lower complexity and cost.
- In a second step, a 0D-1D thermodynamic model of the complete system was created and first investigations were run.
