ESR5 Konstantinos Eleftherious at HAI
During the secondment at Hellenic Aerospace Industry, Konstantinos Eleftheriou worked with the R&D team. Initially, Konstantinos visited the facilities and got informed regarding the maintenance services and the production activities that the company provides. Konstantinos got involved in a UAV project, in which he conducted an aerodynamic study of a blended-wing air vehicle in different angles of attack and for various gusts. Furthermore, he collaborated with Angelos Gaitanis (ESR3) in measuring a centrifugal compressor of the PW123af aircraft engine. The main goal is to generate the PW123af compressor maps conducting CFD analysis and potentially replace it with a contra-rotating compressor investigating the advantages and the disadvantages of this compressor configuration.
